Logistics Plus Japan K.K CEO

Takefumi  Hosomi

This is the DNA of our Japanese subsidiary, derived from our American DNA of “Passion for Excellence”.

In a rapidly changing social environment, old-fashioned logistics companies are no longer viable. To build a corporate structure that enables quick thinking and action in response to change, we not only employ staff who are familiar with logistics but also assign individuals with backgrounds in manufacturing and the wholesale industry. This allows us to quickly identify customer issues from various angles and implement effective solutions. This is the feature of Logistics Plus Japan. We always strive to build relationships of trust with all of our stakeholders and continue to provide value that exceeds their expectations. This is our promise to you.

Please accept my best regards.

CEO  Takefumi Hosomi

Jim Berlin, CEO and Founder, Logistics Plus

After a 20-year career in the trucking industry, he founded Logistics Plus in 1996 with just 3 employees,

1 customer, and a $120,000 purchase order. He is originally from New York City, but since moving to Erie, Pennsylvania, he has invested heavily in the community's economic development.

n 2004, we renovated the 80-year-old former Union Station and used it as our global headquarters, actively participating in many civic activities. In addition to numerous corporate awards, Jim has been recognized as the most admired CEO by the Manufacturers and Business Association (MBA), and Ernst & Young (EY) honored Jim as Western Pennsylvania's 'Entrepreneur of the Year' in 2004.

In 2005, he was inducted into the Lifetime EY Entrepreneur of the Year World Hall of Fame, and in addition to his corporate and community activities, he serves as a member of the Business Advisory Board of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland.
